Memorial Day!

We have had a fun and interesting weekend...

Saturday: We went and spent some time with Hubb (got his name from the movie Second Hand Lions). If you go to http://www.lonelycreek.com/main.htm and scroll down to 'orange boy' you will see a wonderful picture of Hubb. He is coming home next weekend. We are enrolling in puppy classes and obedience classes! Tuesday took Utah to play goofy golf while we were visiting Hubb. She is a great sister!

Saturday evening Emmet spent the evening with us while his mom and Aunt Jess went to a wedding shower. He was banging on bowls, crawling around scuffing up Tod's remote, and had some fun with the puppies. It was a great time had by all!

Sunday: We attempted to go to the Naturals game and then a huge thunderstorm hit and the lightening made us nervous, so we went to see the new Indiana Jones movie instead. We won't buy Naturals tickets in advance anymore - at the gate only! Utah had a friend join us and we hope he still had a good time!

While we were sitting in the car waiting on the weather to pass.. another car pulled up and parked in the spot immediately next to my car. There were AT LEAST 100 parking spaces all over the lot that had no other cars in the slot beside them. Anyway.. as they pulled up, I turned to Tuesday and said that the little girl in the back seat was going to slam her door into my door when they stopped.. and she DID... I didn't say anything, of course, the car doesn't matter.. the rudeness seemed a bit over the top, though!

Monday: We cooked out... sorta... right up until the propane tank ran out of propane :-) We worked in the yard and Tod and I bought new faucets for the bathroom, a new sign with our street number (the other is rotten and gross), and some stuff for the pool! The dog got a bath.. the path to the pool is weed free.. the pool is slowly clearing up...

Tuesday spent days with us and evenings with friends! Pictures later...

More birthday fun!

The cake debacle! It is NEVER boring or lacking in laughter around here! My angel food cake EXPLODED in the pan and was a ridiculous, gigantic, pretty good tasting mess! So, I called Tuesday and told her to pick up another cake on the way home from shopping and she got this yummy, rose buttercream cake for our enjoyment!

Tuesday made her money go a LOOONNNGGG way today and here are the outfits she got.. and she has money left over to go into savings!

The busiest, best dad in the world... working on the pool, mowing, taking Utah to hit baseballs, working on Tuesday's car, and so much more.. you rock, Dad!

Happy Birthday Tuesday!

She is 20 years old today and we are so proud of her! She opened her gift card today to Forever 21. We had to give her a gift card because she has given us all her birthday money to save for her to be ready to get her apartment in August. We are putting it in a savings account for her and will give it back to her to pay bills.. she is quite responsible and we are proud of how much she matures each birthday! The rest of her birthday money from us is going in the savings account at her request!

She has requested to stay at home for dinner and maybe have a friend(s) over tonight to eat and hang out. We are having Alfredo, bread sticks, and angel food cake.... her menu entirely!

Her car is broken down AGAIN.. we are taking it to get it fixed (towed probably) on Monday (thank goodness we got the warranty on this car!)... and then we are going to have to decide if we buy her the old car (comet) or if we just get her a newer car that isn't such a hassle. That decision will have to wait until June because I need to get out of school in order to have the time to take care of it.. unless Memorial Weekend offers some free time! We are trying to avoid payments on any of our cars because of rising gas prices!
More pictures later.. she is shopping with friends right now... they were playing Rock Band (dad, too) this morning but we didn't need more pictures of that :-)

Utah's Family Birthday

The pitcher is wearing Utah's number - number 8!
There will be a friend birthday.. but tonight was his family birthday! We wanted to have a paintball party but have heard that the Extreme SWAT Paintball has closed.. so, we are planning a different event. Tonight we played Rock Band, ate at Shoguns, and watched the movie Signs.

Dad takes his role in Rock Band VERY VERY seriously! He screams out things such as, "Welcome to Chicago" when he is doing vocals and makes up his own lyrics and melodies.. therefore, his score hovers in the 20% general area!

Our pool is really, well, DISGUSTING!

Tod works so hard to get the pool ready.. and then a storm does THIS to the pool!

Mother's Day ROCKED!

Mother's Day ROCKED! Tod cooked out on the grill.. yummy k-bobs! Tuesday and Utah gave me a very funny card. They actually argued on the card about who picked out the card and if it was the coolest of all cards.. classic mother's day card! Tuesday and Utah gave me a Willow Angel for wisdom.. it is beautiful. I missed Hannah but she had a great day in KC!
