Day 4 - San Antonio (Outlet, Market Square)

The shopping trip at the outlet mall started with Utah and I have coffee at starbucks (decaf, sugar free, mocha). WOW!
New shoes... size 8.5... yikes!

After shopping all day, we went to the Market Square downtown. We rode a trolley and it was a very interesting ride!!!

Utah, the pack mule, carried all our stuff (Emmet's stuff) all over San Antonio.. he was quite the awesome teenager!
Emmet and mom in sunglasses - his first pair!
a bird pooped on me - yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck yuck yuckEmmet is waking up Utah!

Day 3 - San Antonio (Six Flags, River Walk)

Six Flags was a bust! The long wait in traffic... in line to pay $15 to park.. in line to pay to get into the park... in line to go through the metal detector.. the hour wait for one ride.. the fact that alcohol flowed freely... it just wasn't our scene.. we made the best of it and got out of there!
We had a great time on the Riverwalk though. We took a water taxi to the mall and dinner. We walked the Riverwalk back to the hotel. Except for hauling the stroller up and down the stairs (Utah's job), it was an awesome walk. We didn't have stairs until we got close to the hotel.
My flash went CRAZY and everyone looks washed out.... Utah scored some new clothes..

Day 2 - San Antonio (Zoo)

We spent day two at the San Antonio Zoo. It was so much fun! The animals were very interesting. They had a little children's zoo that Emmet loved. If it was warmer we could have let Emmet swim at the beach in the zoo. We missed the giraffes.. they were hiding in their super tall huts!

There were BIRDS EVERYWHERE! I really don't like birds.. Utah and Elizabeth got a kick out of my constant fear of the birds! Look at all the NESTS!

Emmet laughed and laughed.. he is quite the little guy!

Day 1 San Antonio (Hard Rock, Alamo)

We had a great flight. Emmet did wonderful. The amount of stuff we had to keep up with was incredible and I do not know how we could have done it if it wasn't for Utah's great attitude and willingness to help! He is still a teenager, but the only time he was difficult was when he wanted to take charge and lead us - and even then, just a little struggle and he was right back on track. I am so blessed to have a teenage son that enjoys a vacation with a 7 month old baby. Most teenage boys would be horrified. Utah carried tons of stuff, played for hours, and did not complain when our plans had to be changed because Emmet was fussy. It was a great time for all and an awesome opportunity for me to see what an exceptional young man (much like his father) Utah is growing up to be.. he did not demand to be put first even once!

When we arrived at our hotel, we immediately loaded up and went to the Hard Rock Cafe for a late lunch/early dinner. After that we took a walk to the Alamo and downtown San Antonio. It is a beautiful place. The weather was gorgeous, light jackets at night were even optional and it was never too warm.
They had a Sony and an Apple vending machine you could buy elecronics - such as an ipod or psp. It was strange... can't imagine buying anything that expensive out of an airport vending machine.

We are at the Hard Rock!

The Alamo was beautiful...

Bath time...
